Pinky Poodle

Pinky Poodle

In a Doggy Woggy Doodle...

Mister L'amour - ay! He's on the Floor - ay!

Stinky winky Lu, I love you! Stinky-inky-inky-winky Doo!

This is a picture of my dog, LulaBelle, and her cousin Louie L'amour. These are a few of the songs they inspire. What is it about these critters that inspires me to burst into song?

When I go to my job at various houses, many animals (especially cats) run for cover when they see me with a vacuum cleaner. Dogs are quick to forgive and forget, and love me anyway. But some cats are difficult to win over once they associate me with the vacuum. However, I have discovered that I can lure even stand-offish cats when I sing.

They say, "Music tames the savage beast." It always seemed to work on our haughty part-Siamese, Cinders, who would lounge nearby when I practiced piano as a child. She loved Mozart and tinkling high notes.

Maybe I should try it on my husband. Next time he picks a fight, I just might burst into song.

Try it on your bosses, your children, out-of-control neighbors and spouses, then let me know if it works.

When the kiddos are screeching, I sing a song to help keep myself calm; but it doesn't really have any effect on them.
Remember how Mojave used to scream and cry as a baby when I would sing her any lullaby?

Yeah, it probably won't work on my "kiddo" either. You can download your avatar! Groovy, huh? I'm trying to figure out how to do a music thing.

That pug is cute. I love them. They have fabulous personalities but I think some of them have problems breathing.

One time a friend of mine decided to get a dog but knew nothing about them. She asked my advice and I recommended a pug because my friend was sedate etc.

Well, she shopped around various breeders, wound up buying this cute little pug and she got so carried away that she started entering the dog in dog shows. The little dog wound up winning regional, then national, then INTERNATIONAL dog shows. :-)

Pugs are cool. Labs are cool. My first dog was a Lab, Erica. Well, her official name was Princess Erica Laurel. But, we just called her Erica. Great dog!

BTW, every time you sing to me it calms my savage soul. Ahem.
